Café de Trollekelder is a rustic and cozy Flemish speech bar from the 15th century. Over the years, she has become one of the fixed values of the city of Ghent. With its central location, in the shadow of St Jacob's church, she is easily accessible.

Alongside the Rent in the town you will find a Waterhouse with a large selection of beers. The Waterhouse, built in 1726, originally served as a supply point of clean water in periods. It evolved from brothel to barber early in the 20th century.

No beer, but you must visit! It may not be the smallest, but it sure is the most peculiar Belgian geneva-café in whole Flanders and surrounding areas. Watch out for Pol, the owner. He looks a bit untidy at first, but once he starts joking, he is rather nice really.
If he's sleeping in his armchair, wake him up carefully, you never know...
