six°north x SALT collab

We recently brewed an Imperial Gose with the awesome chaps from Salt Beer Factory. A great wee outfit from West Yorkshire making some excellent hop-forward beers. Salt are headed up by brewing supremo Colin Stronge (formerly of Black Isle, Buxton, Northern Monk).

We got a wee bit experimental with this collab…submerging two Bordeaux barrels into the North Sea, off of the coast of Stonehaven for two weeks. We’ve been toying with this idea for a while now, but had been waiting for the right time (and beer) to try it with. A Gose seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so!

We will soon fill the barrels with part of the batch, to impart some salty & oaky goodness on the beer before blending back in tank with the remaining batch.

The beer is due for release in the Autumn.
